1. Hurting your touch is.

I find myself hating airports more than I have in the past. I thought spending the night in them was a great idea—it’s not. One time by choice, second time involuntarily, and, really, the third time didn’t happen cause my plane was leaving at a remotely decent time so the bus could drop me off. Here I wait. Not going to Mexico, but kinda stoked I’m not going to Mexico. But then again bummed after I saw the picture of the crowd at six flags.

To sum up the past two and half weeks in two words: Dry Bowser. That’s right… I didn’t unlock his ass yet in Mario Kart Wii. Whatever: here are the details.

Had problems with my morning flight from ABQ to Dallas Fort Worth, which then routed me through Chicago. Thunderstorms canceled my flight to NYC, so I had to spend the night in Chicago and fly to DC in the early a.m.—missing the Fire’s NYC show. Annie saved my ass at that one. She’s the best. Wish she worked for me full time.

D.C. was a blur in the early a.m. Ms. Jessica came and picked me up and we talked about stuff and arrived at the famous 9:30 club. This club lives up to every bit of positive talk I’ve ever heard. Everyone is super nice, the food is amazing, and so on. Need to send them a thank you letter. Had reunions with fires and company. Show was awesome. Super sold out. Erica Dennison, my native interest, came to hang on this night, the eve of my birth anniversary. We went to Jack’s DJ set at some place close by. We danced and celebrated. Good times.

Next day in Boston was hung over. I had Chinese and hooked up the Wii. Set up merch, hung out in general. Had a kick ball game at a university near by. UK vs US. Brutal stakes, somebody lost an eye—but not really. The show was super rad. Saw Mike Woodyard after years of never seeing him. It was random. Got a birthday shout out from stage, a toy dart gun, a parrot balloon, and hugs. Later, that night, I was given a yummy chocolate cake, and blew out candles in the numbers 2 and 9. It was a great bday.

Border crossings are sometimes nice and other times just annoying. This one was hung over. Made our way into Montreal. Spent the day with Rose and ate a lot of bad / good food. The show was under attended in my opinion and, for the record, that town is as equally weird as it is awesome.

The day off in Montreal after was good. Found an antique store that sells random household items, old-antique Nazi memorabilia, and gay playing cards. Pretty interesting. Ate some, and chilled out basically.

Next day was cancelled show in Toronto. Bummed too—such a great crowd for the fires. Spent the day worrying about sickness, looking at hookers and talking to them. We also had our second game of kick ball. US vs UK. Epic really. Found a new shit ball to play with as opposed to the soccer ball the brits like to use. It just goes so far and we are all fat. Had a nice pizza dinner and began driving to Chicago.

Chicago was cool. Saw my cousin Caroline who is like really nice and fresh. She introduced me to Molly. Both of them shake it—incase you were wondering. Great show in a smaller venue. Sold well and met cool dudes and chicas. Went to Jack’s DJ set. It was okay. There were like two awesome jazz clubs near us and a notable African American singer from Chicago named Big Time Sally was playing. I should have went to that—it was 3 bucks and epic from what John Carlson and Simon said.

The Next day most of Fires and company and I went to Noah’s Ark at the Wisconsin Dells. It’s a waterpark. I slide down the Scorpion’s Tail like 3 times. Made Randi do it. She was brave, but really hated it. It was wet fun and I passed out after eating ihop after.

Next day was a drive day, but we stopped to have an amazing cook out in the black hills area. Saw Mount Rushmore for the first time. It was cool. Teddy looked the best out of all of them. Eating this day was pretty awesome. I love food.

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s in my top three favorites for sure. The show was the same night at the Canucks and Bruins game. Streets were closed off, many people were wearing the hockey jerseys. It was pandemonium. When they would score, the entire part of the city would scream. The show went well. It was at this place called the Venue, which i like very much.

Seattle is great. I like visiting the capital hill area where the venue is, Neumos. My friend Micah lives there. I saw him for a minute. Sushi and Claire came out to hang out and bring me my merch. Such great friends they are. The show was super fun, and I got my hotdogs with cream cheese. They are delicious, but they make me smell like shit.

Portland was a great day. I hung with Ms. Julia. I bought toys, which is shouldn’t have done, but you’re only young once (or whatever excuse you’d like to put here). Show was at the doug fir, which is this amazing like restaurant with a venue attached to it and a hotel called the jupiter. It’s got spunk.

San Fran, I’m not into you as much as I once was. You’re addicted to crack. Also, you had it right when while I was wasted getting bacon wrapped hotdogs to reveal a small poster of 2 Pac, and two bottles of prescription drugs (which was only zinc and a Vietnam c). Totally awesome. We stayed at the Phoenix Hotel and played Settlers of Catan, which i’m proud to say they are into.

The Fires were on Jimmy Kimmel. It was super cool. I’ve watched the program before and liked it. The green room had free play Mrs. Pac man. Loved it. Played pool. Watched the show. Saw Kevin KNEE-LYN (sp?). He looks old. Wanted to hustle merch, but didn’t happen.

LA was great cause Irene came out and showed me the parrot thing. Had Scooby’s Hot Dogs. Loved it. The show was great too. The Henry Fonda Theatre / Music Box looks heaps better since the remodel. After the show there was a Dub Step Party. It was ridic sounding and looking in video. Missed Dillinger and Deftones in LA. Would have been a good time. Saw Ben and Shaun Lyman randomly on Holly Blvd. Super cool.
