Music is the Enemy’s last show for the summer was Saturday. It was another ‘best worst show ever.’ Whenever we play at Warehouse 508 that seems to be the outcome. It was for 1st Street Smash fest. I went to all three days of it to promote, and it’s content was great; however, turn-out was modest for all events. I finally got to see Zack Freeman. Holy shit. He is just amazing, Asper Kourt—believe the hype.
After trying to record the record ourselves we’ve decided to scrap that idea, and have Mike Day (Tenderizor) to record it.We are doing it this weekend. I’m hoping that all drum tracks will be done before I leave for Warped Tour on Monday. If not, Miles will have to. Ha ha ha.
So far, the album artwork is nearly done. CD release poster designs pretty much done. CD release marketing plan pretty solid. New merch designs for the release are set. Our CD release is oct 3rd at burts and an all ages TBA. It’s going to be the biggest promotion ABQ has ever seen. We are going to wallpaper the city.
Screen printing is going well. I’m still perfecting my technique. I just printed two different Burst Into Flames designs, and two different BCNM designs.
I’m excited about Warped Tour. It’s my working vacation. I say it’s my last year, but who knows. It’s losing its luster in regards to how my life is shaping in ABQ. I want to buy a house, and have a more rooted life.
I’ve been making a few Web sites. They are nearly done to show. I need to finish my Web site here soon. I’ve been lacking on it.
I had some recent family health scares. If I wasn’t so busy it would have affected me a lot more than it did. Does it make me a horrible person to nearly detach myself emotionally from life problems. It’s not that I ignore the responsibilities surrounding the problem—I just chose not to think about it.
I still feel guilty about it. I can’t say i’m sorry enough. I’ll get over it.
Kurt just got a jerb at the Alibi! Totally awesome. He’s loving it here, and I’m loving that he is here too. It’s almost like college again. Now, if i can only get Arthur here.
I’m watching Voyager. The best episodes are Borg episodes. It’s hard to watch. Whatever.
